101

Program Lead by (TBA)

This introductory class is designed for golfers that have never played. In five 75-minute lessons, our instructors will cover everything you need to know to play your first round of golf. Classes will cover the basics of the golf swing, putting, short game techniques, rules and etiquette. The instructors will also discuss what you need to golf, therefore it is recommended that you do not go out and buy clubs until you have started this class. You will be given a static club fitting which will allow the instructor to make a recommendation as to which clubs to buy.

  • Five consecutive 75-minute classes
  • This class was created for students who have no past golf experience
  • Classes will cover the basics of the golf swing, putting, short game techniques, rules and etiquette.
  • A workbook/reference guide will be provided.
  • Golf clubs are not needed; clubs/sets will be recommended.
  • Coupons handed out (10% off merchandise, small range baskets and an Apple 9 round)
  • Minimum of 4 students; maximum of 10:1 ratio (student:instructor)

Program Lead by (TBA)

In five 75-minute sessions, the instructors strive to build on the fundamentals that were demonstrated in the 101 class. Video analysis will be used, stretching and a variety of short game and full swing drills will be introduced. With a smaller class, you will be hitting more balls and getting more one on one attention.

 

  • Five consecutive 75-minute classes
  • This class is for students who have completed GFW 101 or have some past experience
  • Classes will build on the fundamentals that were demonstrated in GFW 101
  • Video analysis will be used
  • In depth drills using various teaching aides
  • A workbook/reference guide will be provided
  • Golf clubs are not needed; clubs/sets will be recommended
  • Coupons handed out (10% off merchandise, small range baskets and an Apple 9 round)
  • Minimum of 3 students; maximum of 6:1 ratio (student:instructor)

Program Lead by (TBA)

This course is a very popular class because you get the best of both worlds. This class was designed to help all golfers become comfortable playing a round of golf. This is the perfect way for 101 and 201 students to make the transition from the practice facility to the golf course.

Each class will be five one-hour sessions and feature a 5:1 student to instructor ratio. Course strategy, club selection, playing formats, etiquette, equipment evaluation, goal setting and more will be covered.  Classes will take place on The Apple 9 Course.

  • Five consecutive 75-minute classes (up from 60) that take place on The Apple 9 Course.
  • This class is for students who have completed GFW 201 or have on course playing experience.
  • Classes will cover course strategy, club selection, playing formats, etiquette, equipment evaluation, goal setting and more…
  • A workbook/reference guide will be provided
  • Vouchers handed out week 1 for rounds of golf on The Apple 9 (2), small range baskets (2) and merchandise/apparel discounts.
  • Minimum of 3 students; maximum of 5:1 ratio (student:instructor)

This course is a very popular class because you get the best of both worlds as you do in 301, just a different venue.

Each class will be five 75-minute sessions and feature a 4:1 student to instructor ratio. Course strategy, club selection, playing formats, etiquette, equipment evaluation, goal setting and more will be covered.  Classes will take place on either The Robert Trent Jones Course or The Gary Player Course.

  • Five consecutive 75-minute (up from 60) on course classes that take place on either the Robert Trent Jones or Gary Player 18-hole Championship courses.
  • This class is for students who have completed GFW 301 or have significant on course playing experience.
  • Classes will cover course strategy, club selection, playing formats, etiquette, equipment evaluation, goal setting and more…
  • A workbook/reference guide will be provided.
  • Vouchers handed out week 1 for round of golf on either Jones or Player Course, small range baskets (2) and merchandise/apparel discounts.
  • Minimum of 2 students; maximum of 4:1 ratio (student:instructor)

Indoors

Program Lead by Sarah Proper, LPGA Apprentice & Jason Gobleck, PGA

This class is taught from November through March INSIDE the Trackman Simulator bays at Lyman Orchards Golf Center that were just installed for winter play. 4:1 Student to Coach ratio.

The class is designed for students who have at least completed our GFW 101 or have some past experience. There will be more extensive instruction especially in regard to the driver, irons and wedges.

Classes are offered during the week and on Saturday mornings with VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY due to the intimate nature of the classes being small.

— Minimum of 2 students needed to conduct class
— 10 separate classes offered
— Five consecutive one-hour classes (6th class scheduled in case of weather-related cancellation)
— Classes will build on the fundamentals that were demonstrated in GFW
— Video analysis will be used
— Gameplay will be included in some classes
— Golf clubs are not needed; club/sets will be recommended
— All registrants will receive a coupon for complimentary usage of simulators to use on their own time
